Spices Garden Café – Burjuman

When hunger strikes while shopping at Burjuman, I usually eat at the usual place that I like. I found a new place in the food court, Spices Garden Café. We ordered Spices Garden Special Dosa and Veg Kheema Paratha. I don’t give reviews for food court establishments, but they deserve a special mention. Nando’s Al Rigga

My daughter is a chicken fan. She loves anything with chicken, especially fried. I want to introduce her to a different but tasty and healthy chicken dish so we visited Nando’s at Al Ghurair.   Here’s what we ordered. Espetada- chicken thighs skewered between layers of fresh grilled peppers. Lemon and herbs are good for kids. It is not too spicy and not that bland as well. My daughter…

Zaatar w Zeit Ibn Battuta

We arrived Ibn Battuta Mall early, most of the restaurants were still close. We were looking for good breakfast places and we end up at Zaatar w Zeit which is overlooking the cinema and the dhow cruise fountain. We ordered a not so breakfast dish.  New Sampler Starter- a big plate of fried starters with three different kinds of sauce. The potato mojo pizza is better with Caesar sauce. The mozzarella balls and chicken fingers are perfect with spicy mayo, and lastly potato…

Paratha ‘n Rolls Al Safa

A small joint at the ENOC petrol station catering mostly for delivery. They serve different kinds of vegetarian and non-vegetarian paratha and rolls. They have more paratha options than rolls. Each dish is served with 2 sides. We ordered their best sellers. Pav Bhaji-n-Cheese Paratha, Green Paratha, Chicken Kheema Paratha.  Pad Bhaji-n-Cheese Paratha- no wonder why this is their best seller. Pav bhaji with lots of cheese. Tasty by itself, no need for sides. Green Paratha- fresh fenugreek and spinach based dough with spring onions and mild…

Al Safadi Restaurant Al Rigga

Al Safadi is a famous Syrian restaurant in Al Rigga with an al fresco dining. It has a different vibe among other restaurants in Rigga as it looks like a fine dining experience. The weather was still nice so we opted to dine outside. Service was fast. They served our mohamara and Arabic breads immediately. My first impression made a high expectation of the restaurant, but it plummeted because of…
