After watching Jazz Garden Series at Al Habtoor Grand Hotel, we walked towards JBR to have a light but satisfying dinner. There are lots of options in JBR but we were looking for an authentic cuisine, not the fusion or hipster restaurants. Almost giving up to find something we have not tried, at 12000 steps I am dead tired and hungry. I was getting cranky when we saw Bianca. Bellissima! An authentic Italian restaurant! It has interesting decors of cheese on the walls which they sell too. The interior is white and black with wood pallets as accent.
We ordered Bruschetta and Tonno & Carciofini. They gave us slices of French bread and olive oil while waiting for our order. Pronounced “brusketta”, this classic Italian appetizer is a perfect way to capture the flavors of garden ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and olive oil. A simple dish and the only way to make delightful is to use the freshest ingredients. Bianca’s bruschetta calmed my nerves and my hungry tummy. A taste so simple yet divine. Healthy yet filling.
The Tonno & Carciofini is a tuna pizza with artichokes, red onion, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, basil and extra virgin olive oil. It has the perfect amount of mozarella on a toasted thin crust. The cheese doesn’t over power the tuna, tomatoes, basil and olive oil. You can taste every ingredient used. A slice of it seems to be melting on each bite. The ingredients are so fresh you will feel like you are eating in an Italian farm.
