The best way to start my first day out after the lock down is a good cup of coffee. Luck is on me because a new specialty coffee shop opened in Trade Center Area, Black Coffee by Café Younes.
Established in 1935 in Lebanon, they recently opened their doors in Dubai. They pride themselves on offering high quality coffee from around the world that is freshly roasted and ground in the premises.
When you enter Black Coffee by Café Younes, you will be awakened with the aroma of the coffee. Bustling with the sounds of roasting beans, steam and dripping from different types of brewing methods they can offer. In addition to that is their simple and minimalist interior, a nice place to hang out with friends, or to finish your pending report but prefers to work somewhere else besides your house.
We were served with the best hospitable team. Suggested their best coffee defining which one will suit us and which food will be best paired with it.
We ordered Mocha Iced Latte with almond milk, Café Latte with soy milk, and Cappuccino.
Mocha Iced Latte with almond milk has a light line of creaminess, a touch of sweetness, and a delicate coffee flavour mixed with mocha enough to give you a boost of caffeine.
Café Latte with soy milk, has a mild sweetness and mellow coffee flavour. The use of soy milk has a nutty, creamy flavour that enhances the taste of the coffee bean.
Black Coffees’ cappuccino is a well-made cappuccino that has incredible flavour and texture. It has a bold coffee taste and some sweetness from the naturally occurring lactose sugar in milk.
We ordered two of Black Coffee’s special dishes, Black Coffee’s Eggs Benedict which is not your conventional Eggs Benedict. Instead of two halves of an English Muffin, they serve two poached eggs on a bed of sautéed spinach over two light flaky layers of puff pastry drizzled with Hollandaise sauce that gave the poached eggs a rich, creamy and lemony butter taste.
Topped with beef bacon made it more delicious, smoky-sweet and full of flavour. The side salad is a mix of fresh greens like, sun dried tomato, pomegranate seeds, and orange completed the dish with a fresh kick.
The other dish we had is Black Coffee’s Signature Burger, a 150-gram juicy beef patty oozing on top of a slice of tomato, a tangy pickle, and a crunchy iceberg lettuce with their signature sauce.
Do not forget the burger bun which is delightfully toasted but still with the right amount of moisture and a fresh baked aroma.
The chill vibe, the unlimited specialty coffee choices, and the unique touch to their dishes means a visit at Black Coffee by Café Younes will be worth your while.
