Chaat with a Sweet Ending at Shree Gangour

Looking for a complete experience for your taste buds? Shree Gangour is the best place for you. They combined light and healthy to yummy and tasty. Great snacks for people craving for both savory and sweet.

We wanted something light, so we decided to have chaat. Apparently Indians eat chaat before dinner, its like a late miryenda for them. I have tried most of the chaats this time but one thing new to me is the Sprout Chaat. So we had that as our first dish. Sprout chaat is a healthier version of bhel puri, they used bean sprouts instead of puffed rice. This is yummy so we end up ordering bhel puri and sev puri. Shree gangour uses fresh ingredients making the bhel and sev crispy and the fruits and vegetables used on the chaat juicy. These chaats cost AED 10.00 each.

That’s for starters, then we ordered kolkotta roll as our main. Since we are already full from the chaat we only ordered one and shared it. The roll was awesome but it might be a bit spicy for others. Its like a veggie shawarma.

After having three awesome explosively tasty chaats and a roll, our taste buds decided we should go for something sweet. So we checked what are the interesting Indian sweets in the counter. They have lots but we decided to get malai moon and misti doi. Malai moon looks like pichi-pichi but doesn’t taste like it. It is mainly milk which I think most of Indian sweets are. (Maybe to neutralize the spiciness of their dish? Idk.) Misti Doi is like leche flan but lesser sugar and more milk. We have to control ourselves to get another serving because by this time we were just eating to satisfy our taste buds and not our tummy.

Shree Gangour is a one stop shop for authentic and fusion Indian snacks and sweets. Its a small restaurant near Lamcy, which explains why they have less staff who were most of the time attending to someone. If you are newbie to Indian food this is the best place for you to visit but you need to be patient as the servers will take time to get your orders… which in a way will help you decide. 🙂 Or better yet check this and decide now.
