As mentioned in my review on Des Pardes’s Rabri http://thetasteofgood.com/des-pardes-rabri/, I will review Kheer as well. Kheer was my first love before Rabri. Kheer is a rice pudding popular in Indian subcontinent, made by boiling rice, broken wheat, tapioca, or vermicelli with milk and sugar; it is flavoured with cardamom, raisins, saffron, cashews, pistachios or almonds. It is typically served during a meal or as a dessert.
Des Pardes’s Kheer looks like a rice porridge but sweet not savory. It seems like a white champorado (chocolate porridge), but with a milder sweetness. Kheer is topped with pistachios which gave it additional flavor and texture. I feel bad for the delivery guy because we ordered again after one serving, we didn’t expect to like it so much to order another serving of Kheer. My rating for Des Pardes is 5/5
