When I was in elementary, I always had sandwich as my school snack prepared by my mom. It can be chicken salad sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, egg salad sandwich, and my favorite burger. Its always meat, the only non-meat sandwich I had are those with cheese or peanut butter which I don’t like because I find it boring. Haji Ali is known for its juices, vegetarian sandwiches and different vegetarian snacks.
The picture above is the Haji Ali Special Chaat, it seems like a combination of all the chaat they serve. The yogurt from the Dahi Batata Puri, sev from Sev Puri, chickpeas from Raj Kachori, and crushed puri from Pani Puri. This dish is quite heavy and will fill your tummy instantly.
Bombay Sandwich is an amazing vegetarian sandwich packed with all the nutrients and taste. It has potato, onion, capsicum, cucumber, tomato and lots of cheddar cheese. The bread is grilled to the right crispiness on the outside and a little soft on the inside. The spicy green chutney perfectly blends with the cheddar cheese as both balance each other’s taste. The freshness of the vegetables adds up to the taste, this is definitely worth its value and definitely more filling than Mc Donald’s burgers. You will not be able to believe that it is a veg sandwich.
Dahi Batata Puri is my all time favorite chaat. Haji Ali’s version is simple and yet tasty. All the ingredients used are fresh making the sev and the puri really crispy.
Raj Kochari is a jumbo puri with all the chickpeas and potato inside, its topped with yogurt and sev but Haji Ali’s is more special as they topped it with pomegranate too.
