I have been seeing Kemps Corner since I was new in Dubai, but recently I noticed that the restaurant that was empty almost every day has now every day patrons. Curious, I checked out what’s the sudden change.
We ordered Sev Puri, Anda Burji and Special Mixed Veg Kathi Roll. While waiting for our order, we had a chat with the server. he explained to us that Kemp’s Corner was just served Indo-Chinese food before but now they serve any South Indian dish and even Chaat. That explains why they have a lot of customers now.
Pictured above is the Anda Burji. Anda means egg, and I had egg burji before. Let’s see which egg burji is better. Kemp’s Corner’s Anda Burji is similar to my mom’s scrambled egg the difference is the color and this one is spicier. It has onion and tomatoes. The color is because of turmeric and chili powder to add spice. Top it off with coriander, served with buttered pav or dinner rolls.
Their Sev Puri is simple. Onion, tomatoes, coriander. Simple but not bad. They used fresh and crispy sev. The sweet and the green chutney are perfectly balanced that made the simple sev puri special.
I had bad experience with Kathi rolls. So I told my friend, he can have the kathi roll and I will just have a bite. It was ok, nothing special. It’s something I will not crave for. In addition to that I was full from the Sev Puri and Anda Burji, I had 2 pavs so it was quite heavy.
