Mumbai Express: Pav Bhaji Dosa

I couldn’t believe that this is the first time that I will be reviewing Mumbai Express. My first Indian snack is Pav Bhaji from Mumbai Express, nothing beats their Pav Bhaji everything is just perfect. I even told my friend who introduced me to Indian food that Mumbai Express is my second to Disneyland for the happiest place on Earth. They even inspired me to make a healthier version of Pav Bhaji (which I will post later). The long wait is over, here is my Mumbai Express Report.

Pav Bhaji is a popular street food in India which is a thick vegetarian curry eaten fried with a pav or bread in lots of butter. When served  is then topped with onion slices, coriander and squeeze of lemon. Pav Bhaji is similar to Filipino’s pizza pandesal but this one is eaten differently. Pizza pandesal is eaten like a pizza where the sauce is spread on topped of a bread then toast it in an oven toaster, Pav Bhaji is eaten by dipping the pav on the bhaji, it is a bit messy but you will not think of that once you get to taste Mumbai Express’s Pav Bhaji. I like it so much I took my cousin to Mumbai Express to have a taste of the Pav Bhaji. She doesn’t eat spicy food due to health issues hence she don’t want to try Indian food as she thought that everything is spicy. One day, she asked if we can go again as she has been craving for it.

I explained what is Masala Dosa on my previous posts, and Mumbai Express’s Masala Dosa is simple and tasty. It is something I will not rave about like the pav bhaji but I still like it. I took my friend who is a hardcore Filipino food eater for a Masala Dosa at Mumbai Express, she loves it and she said she will take her family to Mumbai Express as well to eat Masala Dosa.

What happens when you put Masala Dosa and Pav Bhaji together? You get a Pav Bhaji Dosa. This dish is great if you are craving for both. You get the crispiness of the dosa and the tasty bhaji. Plus its less messy to eat 🙂

Frankie is a vegetarian roll with sweet potato, onion and capsicum. It is similar to Bombay Pav but in a roll and healthier. I ordered the one without cheese but I think the one with cheese which is AED 17.00 is better.
