Tired from work and lazy to cook, I searched for the nearest restaurant that can deliver within 30 minutes. I opted for online ordering through because of an unfortunate experience I had when I called for delivery. I was starving, but I don’t want to settle on something that will be delivered fast, but not enjoyable. I saw Urban Cook House with 40 minutes delivery time. I checked their menu and ordered Mutton Biryani.
Twelve minutes before delivery, it’s still showing that my food was in the kitchen, but I received a call from Urban Cook House informing me that my food is on its way. After 8 minutes, my doorbell rang. I gave my payment to the delivery guy and he told me that it’s already paid. I forgot that I paid my food by card because of too much hunger.
As you can see in the below picture, my food is properly packed. No spills. It is freshly cooked, the rice was still steaming when I removed the lid. As expected in most biryanis, it is served with yogurt.
I like the color of the biryani rice, it is yellow orange unlike other biryanis which are yellow. On my first bite, I had a spoonful of biryani rice. It is oozing with taste of the spices used. I was shoveling my rice with my spoon to look for all the mutton treasures. I found four chunks of mutton. The meat was so tender that it is falling off its bone. When you bite into it, it melts in your mouth. I have never enjoyed Mutton Biryani like this before. Every bite makes me say “Sarap!” which means yummy. Not all the mutton chunks were tender though, but it is still not bad.
I am rating urban Cook House 4.5/5.
