Have you been to a restaurant where you have tried most of the dishes but you keep coming back? I did. Yummy Dosa is one of them. On my first visit, I had 3 types of dosas in a day. Next visit I had 4, then I had 2. I have tried most of their best sellers and interesting fusion dosas. So on my last visit, I ended up ordering the Mysore Masala Dosa which is what most other restaurants have. They informed us that their version is different so that is something I am excited to try.
I originally ordered Kerala Masala Dosa but they informed me that Mysore Masala Dosa is better. I appreciate that they made an effort to recommend the dish that they think I would like and that they sent me this picture for the review since I finished my meal when I realized that I have to take a picture for the review. Here’s why I finished it fast.
Mysore Masala Dosa is like a crispy toasted pancake. One side is crispy and golden brown, other side is soft has lighter color. Yummy Dosa’s version is crispy and thin like a Paper Masala Dosa. When you crack it open, you will hear that nice crackling sound and see the steam from the filling coming out it. The filling is usually loaded with potatoes and is yellow in color, Yummy Dosa’s filling has a red orange filling and has lesser potatoes which makes it lighter. The red orange color must be from the turmeric and chili powder that made it tastier. I was expecting it to be spicy but it’s not, it has the perfect balance of spiciness. The filling is enough for the whole dosa as well, no need to use the chutney since it is tasty by itself.
