Al Mallah is one of the long established cafeteria in Dubai. It is known for their shawarma with an al fresco dining. Whenever I come here, most of the customers are tourists as this is recommended in a lot of travel blogs to visit when they come to Dubai.
I was craving for manakeesh which is the Arabic version of pizza. We were so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the cheese with garlic and the cheese with spicy garlic. Both were awesome, the spicy garlic for AED 11.00 has tolerable spiciness. It has sour taste to it similar to the pickles they serve with the dish. Cheese and garlic manakeesh for AED 10.00 has very minimal taste of garlic to it. Still hungry we ordered two more manakeesh.
Cheese manakeesh is simply amazing. The cheese is overflowing and the manakeesh is warm and soft.
Cheese and honey manakeesh is a good sweet ending. The cheese and honey are perfectly blended that it can both be a savory and sweet snack.
Four manakeesh for AED 42.00 for two is not bad at all. That is like USD 5.00 per head, this is why tourists come here often not just because of the reviews from travel websites but because of the tasty and cheap food. When you order the manakeesh, it should be eaten fast as the bread becomes hard when its cold. You can also ask the server what are their other options for the manakeesh as not all are in the menu which you can see in like the Cheese and Spicy Garlic.
The service was fast and food was good, I am rating them 4.50/5.
